Three Year 9 students proudly presented a cheque for $1000 to the Headmaster at Wednesday’s assembly, the result of placing second in the Western Australian leg of the Aurecon Bridge Building competition. The boys’ entry, which withheld a weight of 41kg, was made from a combination of balsa wood, string, cardboard and glue.

Guildford Grammar School will officially launch its Reconciliation Action Plan at a Flag Raising Ceremony at 11.30am on Wednesday 22 May 2013. All students from the Senior School will attend the Service, which will mark the permanent flying of the Aboriginal flag alongside the School flag and the State flag on the School’s flagpole. Guildford Grammar School is the first PSA School in Western Australia to develop and launch a Reconciliation Action Plan.

Twelve students embarking on a trip to Cambodia in January 2012 have organised several fundraising events to raise money for the Sunshine House Orphanage, where the boys will be spending some time while in Cambodia.  A special fundraising dinner will be held on 17 November, with all proceeds going directly to Sunshine House.

Guildford Grammar School's Freeth House students have supported Muscular Dystrophy Western Australia (MDWA) as their House charity for the past six years, raising money and awareness on the important work MDWA does to support those living with muscular dystrophy. This year, Freeth House students have already raised over $1700 through collections, with another $2445 pledged through students' participation in two major events; the City to Surf and the Dwellingup 100 MTB mountain bike event.
